The satisfaction of our American Exteriors homeowners is one that we take great pride in. Working for the improvement of the energy efficiency of a home as well as the aesthetics of a home have been our objective since American Exteriors began over 25 years ago.
We are extremely satisfied with our new windows from American Exteriors.
The exterior of the house looks clean and crisp, the windows appear bigger than the original 1950’s single –pane aluminum French-style windows that opened with a hand crank. The view from the inside of the house is so much nicer without the obstructions of the metal framework.
Our windows were very drafty. The condensation from the cold temperatures in the winter left pools of water on the window sills. We are positive this won’t be the case anymore and are looking forward to the savings in our heating bill. We’ve already noticed a difference in this unusually hot summer that our house is staying cool without having to turn the thermostat below 74 degrees.
Our old kitchen window was next to impossible to open. We can now open it with just a slide to the side and it’s so nice to look out a clean window without the view being obstructed by the old standard window frame.
Our installer was very friendly and got the job done in the time he said he would.
We had half of our windows replaced at this installation. We are looking forward to getting the rest replaced in the near future.

Putting the safety of the family is of utmost importance to American Exteriors. We take every precaution to ensure, not only a great project, but also a process to where the homeowners feel safe and comfortable in working with us.
This is Julia Garcia and my house is in Westminster Colorado. We’ve gotten our windows from American Exteriors. Our canvasser was Michelle and she showed up to our house, she was very personable, very likeable and I actually had no hesitation to letting her in. she looked at my window and they were probably, since they were 50 years old, they were probably the worst windows ever. The metal frames were twisted, we had the old wood it was cracking and splintering and it was just terrible. She showed up and she showed these awesome windows and they were just like day and night.
The installation people came in and they were awesome. They were friendly, they were knowledgeable. I asked questions and they were always just so courteous to us, to me and my family, which means a lot because I have little ones in the house. And every safety precautions were taken and we felt like they were part of our family and the fact that they care about us means a lot.
After the installation we felt the house felt warmer, it was more inviting and we are still working on our house but this definitely makes it more upbeat to the progress of our house.
So I definitely recommend American Exteriors and I definitely recommend it, yes I would.
American Exteriors - A Thorough Review From A Ivins, Utah Homeowner
When the homeowner who partner with American Exteriors for their home remodeling projects take the time to write their review of the company and the process we certainly appreciate the time they took and enjoy sharing those reviews with others.
Here is a thorough review of American Exteriors from a homeowner in Ivins, Utah.
My initial contact with the company was professional and courteous. We made an appointment for a demonstration and to discuss the cost, discounts, and options available. These were clearly explained to me. The demonstration with the heat lamp was probably the most important factor in making my decision to upgrade my windows. The standard window in the demonstration radiated a significant amount of heat. It reminded me of how hot the glass feels on my westward facing sliding door that opens on my patio. The American Exteriors window sample was only slightly warm to the touch.
I was also impressed with the construction of the windows. They not only provided a tight seal, but the materials are thermally matched which prevents cracking the frame letting the gas that is sealed between the glass panes from escaping over time. They should be just as efficient years from now as they are at present. After the installation, I was impressed with how smoothly the locks worked and how the windows and patio door opened and closed.
My front windows face the east where the sun rises and heats the house all through the morning. The rear of the house faces west and has a large sliding door with lots of glass that let a lot of solar energy into the room. In the past, I would keep the blinds closed and the drapes pulled to keep as much heat from the sun out of the front rooms and rear room as possible. No, I can let the light in because there Is only a slight amount of heat radiating from the window inside the house.
My house faces a busy street and I would sometimes be awakened at night by a passing truck or other noisy vehicle. The noise reduction as decreased this noise significantly and I have not been awaked by traffic since the windows were installed.
Because there is less solar heating through the winds, the temperatures in the room are more uniform and therefor more comfortable. The thermostat control is better and resulting in longer periods between the cooling turning on and the air condition staying on a shorter amount of time. This resulted in a reduced air condition bill in the first month which included part of the month before the installation. I am sure that the window month will have lower heating bills because of the much improved loss of heat through the windows.

DIY - Sealing Your Air Leakage
Heating and cooling costs account for between 40% - 70% of the homes energy consumption and air leakage can account for 25% - 40% of that. Thus, when it comes to saving money, addressing the homes air leakage issues are of great benefit.
Air leakage, or air infiltration, is the technical term for when outside air enters your home uncontrollably through gaps or holes in the home. By giving attention to such areas you can effectively minimize your homes heating and cooling energy consumption costs. Sealing the home will also aid in eliminating moisture, mold and mildew and thus maintain the structural integrity of the home. Eliminating air leakage also contributes to a healthier environment by cutting down on potential mold and dust in the air as well.
What about home ventilation and fresh air? Relying on air infiltration for home ventilation has the potential to cause problems such as dusty and moldy air thus causing potential health issues. Also rodents and insects can enter the home through these gaps and homes.
A good strategy for the healthy homeowner is to reduce the homes air leakage issues and utilize controlled ventilation as the need arises.
Heating and cooling loss are likely to occur from gaps that can be found in areas of the home where one corner of the drywall meets another.
Inspection:
Baseboards –
Visually inspect the baseboards for gaps where the baseboard is pulling away from the wall.
Check the condition of the existing caulk between the wall and the baseboard.
Wall Juncture –
Visually inspect the wall junctures for gaps where the baseboard is pulling away from the wall.
Ceiling Juncture –
Visually inspect the ceiling juncture for gaps where the baseboard is pulling away from the wall.
DIY Solution
Seal the gaps with caulk to create a seamless envelope. These can be painted at a later time if desired.
Caulking:
Hold the caulking gun at a consistent angle, usually 30°-45°. Caulk in one continuous line avoiding stops and starts as this can cause irregularities and gaps in the caulking bead.
Verify that the caulk sticks to both surfaces.
Release the trigger before pulling away to avoid applying too much caulk.
To clean up any excessive waste use mineral spirits or water (depending on type of caulking)
By utilitizing these simple, but effective techniques you will ensure that you have the air leakage under control and thus stop your energy dollars from literally flying out of the house.
From One Salesman About Our American Exteriors Marketing Directors
Sales people have a bad reputation. From vacuum to car salesman, the thought is that these hard working men and women are pushy, persistent and inconsiderate to the point of rude. However, the role of a good salesman is merely to educate and help a consumer to determine what product is in their best interest.
This is the training that the Marketing Directors at American Exteriors receive and although mislabeled “salesman”, they fulfill the role in educating homeowners as to the options which are available to their homes.
Homeowners have found that they really appreciate the treatment of our American Exteriors Marketing Directors.
Our Experience With American Exteriors
When my wife agreed to have Alex come into our home I was not too happy because when I want to purchase anything I like to go to where ever and check out my options. However, after talking to Alex I could tell he was a great sales person as I have been in sales for 34 years. He really knows his product and answered every one of my questions and was spot on with the results. He set us up with financing and we went ahead and had him order the windows.
The morning the windows were to be installed I had left for work at 7:00am. With old ugly windows in my home, I was curious how 1 person would be able to install all my windows in one day, there no way! I arrived home around 5:15pm. And to my surprise the new windows were all installed with just a few windows in the back of the house in need of brick molding wrap which Gary finished it up that same day, I was very impressed to say the least. Gary did a fantastic job. I went around inside the house and opened and closed each window to make sure they went up and down with ease, WOW what a nice window! We had a few days in the mid 90’s and we left the windows closed and the air condition only ran a short time, 100 percent argon gas is the key, thanks Alex. From start to completion our experience was great.
Next year we are hoping to have our home sided, the place I will call is American Exteriors.
Thanks Again, Paul and Connie Chapman Milford, Iowa

American Exteriors - Better Than Expected
Our experience with American Exteriors has been even better than we expected. From the very beginning, everyone was polite and willing to work with us on our time frame. We are a very busy family, and finding time to meet on any day is difficult. Ben was able to find a time that worked for everyone, and we are glad we were able to meet with him. He gave us all of the information we needed to make an informed decision. His personality and willingness to work with us really helped us make our decision to get new windows throughout our home. It is a financial commitment to get new windows, so it took us a few days to really come to a decision. Ben gave us the time and space we needed. We never felt pressured to buy these windows, and that really meant a lot to us.
We had our windows installed at the end of July during a particularly hot, dry summer. Our cold windows were from 1971, so we had no idea the difference these new windows would make in the comfort of our home. Immediately after Scott finished installing the windows, the difference was motivated by all of us. Not only did he leave our home as clean as it was when he arrived, but he also gave us a much more comfortable home. Our bedroom, with eastern exposure, is finally below 80 degrees! Our Newfoundland, Bailey, actually wants to be inside because it is so much cooler. The best statement of the change came when our parents came to visit and asked us if our air conditioner was broken because they never heard it come on. We laughed and told them it was working just fine, and that it doesn’t come on nearly as often with our new windows keeping the heat out. We can’t wait to experience how warm and cozy our home will be this winter!
The other great benefit that we have noticed is that our home is so much quieter. We actually had to get used to the lack of street noise at night! Before our new windows were installed, the downstairs windows would rattle and shake every time a big truck drove by the house. Now we don’t ever hear the traffic, let alone a big truck.
Thank you for making our home so much more comfortable, Carolyn and Mike Wolf
American Exterior has truly created an experience worth repeating in regards to home improvement projects. This is a great testimonial to the partnerships we have in the Utah area.
Dear American Exteriors,
I absolutely love my experience with American Exteriors. My first contact with Ryan, our Marketing Director, was great. He is a wealth of knowledge and extremely helpful. He took each of our questions seriously and was sure that each one was answered in a precise manner. I never felt pressured and the whole process was very professionally done.
The install took around 7 hours for doing our window project and that included the very detailed cleanup. Using the windows is easy, and even the dog isn’t overheating sitting in the bay window. We are completely happy with American Exteriors team and their products and would encourage you to have an experience like us.
Sincerely,Jennifer Bartell
